Events in Lisbon this February 2016
Dear friends, well settled into the New Year already, we are preparing for some exciting events in Lisbon this February 2016 as well. Let’s see what there’s to see in the Portuguese capital city these coming weeks!
Every third Sunday of the month, tourists and locals alike can witness the lavish changing of the guard and Charanga. The Changing of the Republican Guard takes place in the Vieira Portuguese Garden, in front of the Belem Presidential Palace. The Charanga is a march of 28 Cavalry horsemen dressed in their best attire and riding purebred Lusitanos. The spectacle is free and its tradition dates back to the 1910 end of the monarchy.
Everyone from the tourist industry will want to be present at the BTL International Tourism Exhibition to be hosted in Lisbon from February 27th to March 3rd 2016. This annual event, part of the Lisbon International Fair, welcomes professionals from the tourist industry from all over the world to the tourist country of Portugal. Travel agencies, hotels, restaurants, as well as transport companies that offer Lisbon airport transfers and Lisbon car rental services) will be present to promote their products and exchange information or do business. There are around 70.000 people expected to come to this event to get familiar with travel packages, tourist services and offers, as well as 1000 companies and individuals who have signed in as exhibitors.
