Did you think autumn is a “dead season” in Lisbon? Well, think again! European capital cities, especially those blessed with warmer, milder weather are always ready to welcome visitors and there are always exciting events taking place, for both the locals and the foreigners to enjoy. So what’s going on in Lisbon in November 2015?

Have you ever seen Portuguese movies? I bet you have if you are a fan of Portugal! Between the 6th and the 15th of November 2015, you are welcome to the Lisbon & Estoril Film Festival, an exciting annual event on the international film calendar. Portuguese, European and international movies will be screened, the Symposium will occupy the 13th, 14th and 15th of November and of course, there are awards to be given, such as the Cineuropa Award, the Revelation Award (for innovations in the film area) and awards for short film. Lisbon & Estoril Film Festival will take place in different venues in the cities of Lisbon and Estoril.

Remaining in the field of art, we discuss visual arts and sample them at the Carlos Carvalho Contemporary Art Gallery, which is honored to announce the newest Isidro Blasco exhibition on the 1st of November 2015. The artist combines photography, installation, architecture and sculpture in a mesmerizing mix that shows that the barriers between art and everyday life are fine. Entry is free, so be welcome and feast your eyes in an unforgettable artistic experience.

Lisbon is a city of arts, but also one that embraces science, which is what the The 7th International Joint Conference on Knowledge Discovery, Knowledge Engineering and Knowledge Management is all about. Alameda dos Oceanos, Lisbon will host this event between the 12th and the 14th November 2015.

To make it all easy and comfortable, you can book some Lisbon taxi transfers or a Lisbon rental car and enjoy all the freedom to travel around the capital city of Portugal and its surroundings.
